Quilled Sun Flower Bookmark

Hello, quiller!

Well, it's been a long time since the last post about quilling paper. Before I went to Jakarta to do internship here, I made a bookmark with a quilled sunflower on it. Actually, it was a basic quilling which can be done by making two basic shapes only. Shaped marquise for the petals and tigh coil for the inner petal. It just like a piece of cake, right? ;)

What you need :

• of course some paper strips, hehe. I used sun-kissed yellow for the petals, black and dark brown for the inner petals.
• white glue
• green 200gsm paper
• scissor
• cutter
• quilling ruler, why we need this stuff? to make sure that each petal has the same size
• quilling needle

Ok, now just let the picture tell you how to make it. It will be better than I write the steps with my poor English, isn't it? Hehe. Enjoy the picture, I will try my best to give an easy to understand caption on each.

Handmade Gift Box Tutorial

Hello friends, yesterday was a wonderful day. The GPA of the last semester was announced! And the result is not bad ^^

Yesterday I made a gift box, it was my very first handmade gift box and I satisfied with the result although it’s still not neatly. Here, I wanna share the tutorial. Well, actually I think we may not call it as tutorial since it’s a very simple way, all you have to do and all you need to make a handmade giftbox just patience and persistence. Ok, let’s see the materials you need and the steps below.

Quilled Letters

One word, FINALLY! haha, actually I have finished this work few weeks ago, but yeah, I have no time to post it here due to some final projects of some courses. And, here is the complete work of my previous quilling project, letters M and O in quilled paper. Well, ok, I hope this work brings you an inspiration to do some quilling. Quilled Letter M and Gradation Swirl Tutorial

Yesterday I posted my quilled LOVE on facebook too. And I got a request, or you can say a challenge, from mbak Miya to make an inisial of her name : MO.

And I just finished the M one. Different from the last project, I used a 120gr/m2 as the frame (the last project I used 80gsm paper strip). It's become easier to shape the letter.

LOVE - quilled letters

Hey guys, I just finished my paper quilling project and I feel so relieved now haha! Few days ago I tried to make some quilled letters. It's not as easy as I thought before, because shaping each letter was take soooo much time. I need a day and a half to finished it, or maybe five to six hours working, nonstop *sigh*

Since Indonesia celebrate the mother's day on Dec 22, I think it's a good idea to dedicated this quilling to my mom, ahaha. I'd shown her and she seemed to love it ;)

I used 5mm wide paper strips, about four to five colors, a combination of some kinds of reds and pinks.  Anyway I love the swirls both on the top and the bottom, cute, no?

Paper Quilling - Princess Belle

Hey friends, about two days ago I've finished another quilled paper craft for one of my best friend, Adzhani. She loves Princess Belle so much, so I decided to make Belle on quilled paper. When I show her, she told me that it's perfecto. I am so glad to hear that since it's my first quiet-complex project : quilled paper with some ornament such as punch-out and also ribbon. Handmade Quilling Paper Needle - dari Lidi ;)

Hey, quilling paper lover! pada tau kan jarumnya buat quilling paper yang biasanya di jual satu set dengan quilling paper tools yang lain? Iya, namanya quilling paper needle. Ini dia nih guys, bentuk aslinya.

Nah, sapa bilang cuma bisa pake begituan? Kita bisa loh bikin 'alat penggulung' sendiri, walaupun terbilang agak gak jelas, tapi it works well loh, dan murah meriah yang pasti. *betewe dulu pertama kali aku belajar quilling paper malah manual pake tangan, lebih dramatis rasanya*

Ini nih, alat sederhana aku, dari lidi! hehe hasilnya asik kok guys, caranya gampang banget. Alat dan bahannya cuma lidi (cari yang agak kokoh ya) dan pisau yang tajam.

Caranya, belah lidi menjadi dua bagian, tapi ujungnya aja ya yang dibelah, dan hati-hati banget karena rawan tuh pisaunya. Jadi deh! hehe, simpel kan. Walaupun agak gak jelas, tapi percaya deh, berguna kok, kalau needlemu lagi rusak atau belum beli atau hilang ;)

Lovely Pinky Girl - Quilling Paper

Hai Fellas, few weeks ago I made this quilled paper. This "girl" becomes my first character on quilling paper work . Is it look so weird? My besties, Adzhani, told me that it's beautiful and cool work for a beginner like me *thanks anyway*, but i think the girl's dress quite weird, isn't it? xoxoxo

By the way, this week is the mid-term week of this semester. So, many of my friends doing their mid-term exam now, hope they can pass it all easily with a great result of course, aamiin. Since my department doesn't hold any kind of 'regular' midterm test, so I don't need to study too much lol.
